Banana Loaf *Jeanie Walker 3 very ripe medium bananas ¼ cup margarine softened 2 eggs 1 tes. vanilla ¾ cup sugar 1 cup flour 1 tsp. baking soda 1/3 cup walnuts chopped (optional) Combine all the ingredients in a bowl and mix till well blended. Pour into bottom of a well oiled Dutch Oven. Bake 45 minutes or until done, at 350. Cheery Cherry Bread *Jeanie Walker 6-oz. jar maraschino cherries 1½ cups flour 1½ tsp. baking powder ¼ tsp. salt 2 eggs 9 Tbsp. sugar ¾ cup coarsely chopped pecans Drain cherries, reserving 1/3 cup syrup. cut cherries in pieces. Set aside. Combine flour, baking powder and salt. Beat eggs, sugar together until thickened. Alternately add flour mixture and cherry syrup to egg mixture mixing until well blended after each addition. Fold in cherries and pecans. Spread in well oiled Dutch oven and cook at 350 for 45 minutes to an hour, or until done. Garlic Bread *Sharon Lowder 1 loaf French Bread (Split Long way) 1 cube soft butter ½ c Mayonnaises 1 c grated cheddar cheese 1 c grated Mozzarella cheese ¼ c parmesan cheese ¼ tsp garlic salt Mix, spread on both halves of French bread, cut into serving size and place in 14in Dutch Oven, heat until bubbly. Freezes well. Italian Cheese Bread *Kim Jewett 1 T yeast 1 tsp salt 1 tsp sugar 1 c warm water 1 T oil 2 ½ c flour Topping - ¼ c Italian salad dressing ¼ tsp garlic ¼ tsp oregano ¼ tsp thyme dash of pepper 1 T parmesan cheese ½ c shredded mozzarella cheese Dissolve yeast in water. Add salt, sugar, oil and 1 c. flour. Mix, gradually adding the remaining flour. Let rise 20 minutes. Pat out in greased Dutch Oven. Brush with salad dressing. Combine seasonings and sprinkle over top. Sprinkle with cheeses. Bake at 450 for 12 - 15 minutes. Poppyseed-Almond Bread *Allison Graham BREAD 3 c flour 1 ½ tsp salt 1 ½ tsp baking powder 3 eggs 1 ½ c milk 1 1/8 c oil 2 ¼ c sugar 1 ½ tsp poppy seed 1 ½ tsp vanilla 1 ½ tsp butter flavoring 1 ½ tsp almond extract GLAZE ¼ c orange juice ¾ c sugar ½ tsp almond extract ½ tsp butter flavoring ½ tsp vanilla extract Grease Dutch Oven, mix ingredients together, put in Dutch Oven. Bake 350 for 45 minutes - 1 hour. Let cool slightly, knife around edge. Pour glaze over bread. Pumpkin Bread *Amy Jones 4 eggs 1 tsp nutmeg 2 c pumpkin 3 1/3 c flour 1 c oil 1 tsp baking soda 1 c water 1 ½ tsp salt 3 c sugar ½ tsp baking powder 1 tsp cinnamon 2 c chocolate chips 1 tsp cloves TOPPING ½ c brown sugar ½ c chopped nuts ½ c oatmeal 1 t vanilla ¼ c softened butter ½ chopped nuts Mix all Ingredients. Pour into Dutch Oven. Sprinkle on topping. Bake at 325 for 1 hour. Test with a toothpick.
