Baked Beans *Elaine Heirtzler 1/2 lb bacon 1/2 cup brown sugar 1-15 oz cans pork and beans 1 Onion chopped 1/2 cup BBQ Sauce Brown bacon in a small Dutch Oven. Add onion and cook until clear. Drain fat and add the other ingredients. Cover and simmer in coals 30 min. stirring occasionally. Baked Beans Dutch Oven & Outdoor Cooking Y2K Edition 1/2 pkg bacon, chopped 1/2 large onion, chopped 1/2 cup Brown sugar 16 oz Catsup 1/2 Bell Pepper, chopped 2 Tbsp Worcestershire Sauce 1-28oz can pork & beans Cook bacon in Dutch Oven until brown. Drain part of the grease. Add vegetables and saute until soft. Add the rest of the ingredients and cook until done. A couple of hours in hot coals should make it good. Casey’s Baked Beans 2 lbs mild sausage split ½ cup brown sugar 2 lbs bacon 1 medium Onion - chopped ½ cup molasses 3 cans (28 oz) Baked Beans * 1 Can (16 oz) crushed Pineapple 1 can diced green chilies Brown 1 lb sausage with Brown Sugar. Brown other sausage separately, set aside. Slice bacon into bite size pieces then brown bacon and onion together until onions are clear. Drain excess grease. Mix all ingredients together into 10 inch oven or larger. Bake 30-45 min until heated through. * We prefer to use Bush’s Grilling beans any variety. New England Baked Beans 3 Cups sried small red beans 5 Cups water 1 Onion, chopped 1 Tbsp Salt 1 Cup Brown sugar 2 Tbsp Molasses 2 tsp. Mustard 1 1/2 Cups Catsup 1/2 lb bacon Soak beans in water overnight and then simmer over coals until skins begin to break. Add the rest of the ingredients and add more water until covered. Cover with the lid and place in coals. Cook at 350 until beans are tender-several hours. Sweet Baked Beans *Casey Allen 1 1/2 lbs Mild Sausage ½ Cup Brown Sugar 1 ½ lbs Bacon 1 Medium Onion-Chopped ½ Cup Molasses 2-3 Cans (28 oz) Maple Baked Beans 1 Can (16 oz) Crushed Pineapple (drained) Mix Brown Sugar & uncooked sausage together, brown in Dutch Oven, set aside. Cut Bacon into bite size pieces. Brown bacon & Onion until onions are clear. Drain excess grease. Mix all ingredients together. Bake (350 degrees) 30-45 minutes until heated through. Bake in 12 inch Dutch Oven. * If you like runnier beans, do not drain pineapple.
